About Us
Fresh Streams LLC is a family and personal coaching practice based in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. I work with families facing crises, school struggles, stalled young adults, communication breakdowns, or the daily strain of parenting. For families who need practical support during a period of major disruption, family crisis coaching provides focused guidance to help restore stability. I serve clients across Waukesha, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha counties, as well as the northern Chicago suburbs. Sessions are available in person or online, so distance never limits access to support.
The name reflects how I see this work. A fresh stream is not a new river; it is the same water moving again. Families often have more capacity than they can see during a difficult season. I help restore that movement through practical skills, structure, accountability, and steady support. I am direct without being harsh, respect parents as the experts on their children, and keep your information confidential. Coaching is not therapy or clinical care, and when licensed support is needed, I will say so and help you find it. For support with ongoing household communication, routines, and family dynamics, family support coaching may be the right next step.
My Services
Six coaching services, built around where a family or an individual actually is right now.
Parent and Child Coaching
Coaching for parents raising a child who is struggling at home, at school or with friends. I work with you on strategies, boundaries and language you can use tonight, and on how to advocate for your child with the adults around them.
Why Choose Fresh Streams
You work with me, every session
This is not a directory or a rotating roster of coaches. I take the first conversation and every session after it, so you tell your story once and never have to explain your family to a new face.
I am clear about what coaching is
Plenty of practices blur that line. I do not. Coaching builds skills, structure and accountability. It does not diagnose or treat conditions. If your situation calls for a licensed clinician, you will hear that from me in the first conversation, not the fifth.
Built around real family logistics
I run in person sessions around Pewaukee and Waukesha County and online sessions everywhere else, including evening slots. Parents split across two households, shift work and long commutes are normal here, not a problem to solve first.
Confidentiality parents can rely on
What is said in a session stays in the session. I publish no client stories, no identifying details and no testimonials involving children. That holds whether or not anyone asks.
Local knowledge on both sides of the state line
Wisconsin and Illinois handle school support and special education differently. I know where those processes diverge, which matters when you are trying to get a child the help they are entitled to.
Holistic and integrative approach
Our approach is holistic and integrative because the constraint is rarely where you think it is, we work across mindset, systems, and decision-making until we find it.
My Work Process
Reach out
Call me on (262) 737-8827 or send the contact form with a couple of lines about what is going on. You do not need it neatly summarised. A rough description is enough to start.
A free first conversation
You and I talk for about thirty minutes at no cost. You describe what has been happening, I ask questions and explain how coaching would work for your situation.
Start the work
If it is a fit, you and I agree the focus, the format, in person or online, and a session rhythm that suits your week. Sessions are practical. You leave with something to try, then tell me how it went next time. You are never locked into a fixed term.
Client Trust on Fresh Streams LLC
About Me
I am Ryan Roberts, coach and owner of Fresh Streams LLC in Pewaukee, Wisconsin. I work with parents, young adults and whole families across southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, in person and online.
I built this practice around a simple idea. Families in a hard season rarely need to be fixed. They need someone steady, honest and practical alongside them until the water is moving again.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between coaching and therapy?
Therapy is delivered by a licensed clinician and is the right route for diagnosing and treating mental health conditions, and for working through trauma at a clinical level. Coaching looks forward instead. I start from where you are now and build practical strategies, structure and accountability to move toward what you want. I do not diagnose, treat or provide clinical care of any kind. Many families use both at once, and if the first conversation suggests you need a licensed professional, I will tell you directly and help you look for one.
My child has ADHD. Can coaching help?
Coaching helps with the skills side of living with ADHD, meaning routines, time, organisation, planning and follow through. It also helps you as a parent work with your child’s school on IEP or 504 support. What coaching cannot do is diagnose ADHD, treat it or advise on medication. Those are medical matters for your child’s physician or a qualified clinician. I work alongside that care rather than in place of it, and all coaching involving children is arranged through and with the parent.
Do you work with children directly, or only with parents?
For anyone under 18, a parent or guardian arranges the work, consents to it and stays involved throughout. Most of my work with younger children happens through the parent rather than around them. Clients aged 18 and over arrange coaching themselves and their sessions belong to them. Whatever the age, I am clear at the start about what gets shared with a parent and what stays in the session, so nobody is surprised later.
What happens in a first conversation, and does it cost anything?
The first conversation is free and takes about thirty minutes by phone or video. You describe what has been going on, with no preparation needed, and I ask questions to understand the situation and explain how coaching would work for you. You will also get an honest read on whether I am the right person to help. There is no obligation to book anything afterwards, and if coaching is not the right fit I will say so and point you toward what is.
Do you offer sessions online, or do I need to travel to Pewaukee?
Both. In person sessions run from Pewaukee and across Waukesha County and greater Milwaukee. Online sessions are available anywhere in Wisconsin and Illinois. My service area reaches from Pewaukee down to Chicago, so most clients outside the immediate area work with me online. The structure and the coach are identical either way, and each area page states plainly whether in person availability applies there.
What if my family is in crisis right now?
Coaching is not emergency support and does not replace emergency services. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, available 24 hours a day. My crisis resources page lists domestic violence support, Wisconsin child protective services and other emergency contacts. Once immediate safety is handled, coaching can help your family work out what comes next.
